drawing is like building a puzzle without the picture on the box. You know what all the pieces look like, and you kind of figure it’s supposed to be a house with shrubs and trees, or maybe a bunch of kittens in baskets, or a guy on a vespa, but you’ve got all these fragments that kind of fit with each other and no real reference to go off of. so in the end, you have some pieces left...
